ELO Hell does not exist. Accept this. If
you wallow in self pity because you keep getting "The worst teammates
imaginable" you will never improve yourself.

Go into each and
every game expecting all teammates to pull their weight. Comments like
"I can't carry if I'm not mid" in champion select are creating a
negative atmosphere before the game even begins. Fill the needed role
if you don't get your best role and try your best.

If a player
makes a mistake early or dies to a gank, even if they took your role,
just shut up, and play your game. They are likely upset at themselves,
having a bickering child yelling at them in chat will just frustrate
them further. The ONLY thing you have to gain from insulting them is to
to mend your wounded pride that they took the role you wanted. "If you
can't say something nice don't say something at all" goes a long way in
solo queue.

One of the hardest things about solo queue is
dealing with the toxic players. It is really frustrating when you are
having a bad game and your teammates start blaming you. You want to
defend yourself, I know. But don't. They don't want to hear your
excuses, they just want something to rage at. Mentally ignore them or
use the in-game ignore feature. If you type back to them, they will
type back to you and then your team loses because no one is focused on
winning the game anymore.

Never surrender. Even when you are
down a large amount the enemy team can make mistakes. The game is
designed around making comebacks. You are granted a huge amount of
bonus exp for killing champions higher lvl than you. Static gold income
was buffed dramatically in season 3, so you aren't behind by as much as
you think. The biggest danger about falling behind is team morale
dropping. Don't be the player that AFKs in fountain, spams surrender
votes, or says GG after every lost fight.

It is OK to get excited
when you win. It is OK to be upset when you lose. It is OK to be
angry when your top lane feeds. It is NOT OK to relieve your emotions
by insulting others. It is NOT OK to pretend you have never been in
your top laner's position.

Control your emotions, be empathetic, and never give up!
